Meet the team

David Sneesby

A graduate of Cambridge and Warwick Universities (MBA), David has over 20 years’ experience within the Retail, Media and Leisure sectors, beginning with operational posts with Marks & Spencer and senior marketing roles at Boots the Chemists and Kingfisher. He entered the Media sector with The National Magazine Company, launching a home shopping division for global brands such as Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping and Esquire, and creating the Group’s first mail order catalogue. David spent several years with Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), the world’s second largest marketing research company, as Group Marketing Director and as Business Development Director for one of the firm’s leading retail research products. David subsequently joined Which? as Marketing Director and repositioned the Which? brand to a younger audience, introducing its internet service and developing a radical membership acquisition strategy.

David joined the Leisure sector as Group Marketing Director for Cannons Health Clubs (now Nuffield Health) with responsibility for private health clubs and local authority managed sites. He later joined Crown Sports and managed the commercial activities across all operating divisions including health clubs, golf clubs and the international publishing division.

David is a highly experienced and respected executive search professional with a successful track record in appointing across all functions of business, with a particular focus on the Retail, Media and Leisure sectors. Prior to establishing Snowdon Tate, David launched and developed the successful Retail, Leisure & Media practice with one of the UK’s leading independent search consultancies. David has been elected to the executive boards of The Direct Marketing Association and Institute of Sales Promotion, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
