
Lucy James
A graduate of Lancaster University, Lucy began her career in human resources with Alcatel CIT, Paris, becoming fluent in business French. She entered recruitment in 1998, sourcing and managing large and complex technical teams for telecoms projects across Europe, and subsequently spent some years in technology sales. Lucy has spent most of her career in the recruitment field, including several years with Norman Broadbent Executive Search where she quickly became the company’s youngest Director. She joined Snowdon Tate in 2008 as Managing Partner.
Lucy’s extensive search experience covers all functions of the executive leadership team across a broad range of sectors, including engineering, manufacturing, hospitality and wellbeing, business to business services and technology.
Her clients range from multinational manufacturing and services Plcs to small businesses. She has particular expertise in the Private Equity sector, partnering closely with her clients to create highly effective executive leadership teams. She is also a qualified psychometric profiler.
Lucy is an active member of the Institute of Directors and was elected on to the Board of the IoD’s Young Directors Forum for the Midlands in 2008. She is a qualified PADI SCUBA Instructor, in her spare time assisting The Scuba Trust, and as a result is also a passionate environmentalist, driving Norman Broadbent’s initiative to become the first accredited Carbon Neutral Executive Search firm in 2006. She is a Trustee for the charity Results UK.
